Executive Director Sioux Trujillo was referred by another client, Karen Wegienk (kolorwavesglass.com). Huron Valley Council for the Arts was looking to add an e-commerce component to their website.
This was complicated by recurrent problems with website outages (hosted at GoDaddy) and a painfully slow load time.
Since HVCA is a nonprofit organization, our project must be mindful of their limited budget.
Hosting was moved to SiteGround, which alleviated all load time and outage issues. Since the artist collective already had products listed in a free Square account, a catalog site was created as phase 1. This would allow the artists to display their work without the expense of connecting payment and shipping methods. Ordering could be handled over the phone.
