Don’t be a victim of Domain Slamming!
This week I received a Domain Name Expiration Notice warning me that I will lose exclusive rights to my online identity if I don’t renew ontimewebdevelopment.com right away.
The only problem is, I didn’t register ontimewebdevelopment.com with this company – my domains are all registered through SiteGround.
Domain slamming, or domain name slamming, which is similar to telephone slamming scams, refers to the practice of sending fake renewal notices or bills to domain name registrants that are actually disguised service transfer notices.
Responding to a fake renewal notice often results in a higher fee for the registrant’s domain name and an unauthorized transfer to a different registrar or service provider.
Many website owners don’t know where their domains are registered though, and it would be easy for them to fall for this ruse. If I’d responded to the notice I’d be paying 3 times what I currently pay for this service.
Are you, like me, angered by con artists trying to steal your identity, your time and your money? Are you frustrated by the never-ending flood of Spam and Scams, Phishing, and Fraud on the Internet?

That’s why I include domain management services as part of building your online presence. You shouldn’t have to worry about your domains expiring, or being overcharged by unscrupulous scammers.
